If you're in the area, be sure to make a trip to the gardens soon. Pack a picnic, spread a blanket on a grassy knoll and rest. There's no better place to enjoy spring.
"The measure of achievement is not winning awards. It's doing something that you appreciate, something you believe is worthwhile. I think of my strawberry souffle. I did that at least twenty-eight times before I finally conquered it." Julia Child

Non-foodie Nugget: Duke Gardens
This past weekend Doc and I took advantage of the spring weather and sauntered through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. A veritable treasure trove for those of the green thumb variety (and equally enjoyable for those of us with brown thumbs), this place is absolutely spectacular. Nooks and crannies each way you turn boast God's creative handiwork. We both wished we'd had more time to take it all in, but we were under a time crunch (squeezing in this visit between brunching @ Foster's Market and meeting friends to watch an early matinee showing of The Hunger Games). Even rushed, there was enough time to snap some pictures, so I'd thought I'd offer up a quick photo tour of what's currently blooming in Durham.
If you're in the area, be sure to make a trip to the gardens soon. Pack a picnic, spread a blanket on a grassy knoll and rest. There's no better place to enjoy spring.
